Michael Caruana

Studio PAVAS has engaged Michael Caruana and his Bongo Productions company on many occasions, beginning in 1998, to present weekend workshops for coaching, acting, audition preparations, and agent referrals.

Michael Caruana began Bongo Productions in 1996, coaching actors of all ages, privately, on set, and in classes and workshops, including the highly regarded KIDS ON CAMERA workshops for kids & teens and SUCCESSFUL AUDITIONS workshops for adult’s, and ON CAMERA SCENE STUDY for adults & teens, while continuously working as an actor and coach. He is 6th year faculty at HUMBER COLLEGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND APPLIED LEARNING - ACTING FOR FILM & TELEVISION AND THEATRE PROGRAMS, where he teaches ON CAMERA SKILLS & TECHNIQUES & AUDITIONING FOR FILM & TELEVISION.

Michael explores screen acting technique and applies process oriented preparation to compelling film & TV scenes. Michael also focuses on auditioning successfully for movies, TV series and TV commercials.

ACTING FOR FILM

1st Semester - monologue and scenes, advanced exploration of preparation techniques on camera from literature, classics, and contemporary plays screenplays and television with supportive and challenging direction and coaching.
2nd Semester - audition preparation for film, television, commercials.
3rd Semester - the "industry" (e.g. agents and casting directors) headshots and demo reels.



NEW - DRAMA PRODUCTION CLASS and DRAMA CLASSES

Jamie Duncan, ACTRA, BFA

Jamie Duncan will direct a drama production class from September 2010 through January, 2011 and another from February to June 2010 Auditions will be held within class time Wednesdays 5:00 to 6:30 PM.  Rehearsal is up to 3 hours per week with a Drama production in January and another in June at a professional theatre.

ACTING FOR STAGE

Disciplines covered will include monologue, dialogue and group script analysis, classical text, improvisation techniques, scene study, self producing, and audition technique.
