This class will explore screen acting technique and applies process oriented preparation to compelling film & TV scenes. There is also focuses on auditioning successfully for movies, TV series and TV commercials.
ACTING FOR FILM
Monologue and scenes, advanced exploration of preparation techniques on camera from literature, classics, and contemporary plays screenplays and television with supportive and challenging direction and coaching
Audition preparation for film, television, commercials
The "industry" (e.g. agents and casting directors) headshots and demo reels.
DRAMA PRODUCTION CLASS and DRAMA CLASSES

ACTING FOR STAGE
Students receive training in multiple techniques of stage acting. Disciplines covered include monolgue, dialogue and group script analysis, classical text, improv techniques, scene study, self producing, and audition techniques. As well, Jamie will be teaching mascot work, puppeteer, stage combat, improvisation, and clown. Classes will follow the professional theatre world as closely as possible in an effort to prepare students for further/post secondary Theatre Training.
Jamie Duncan will direct a drama production class from September 2011 through January, 2012 and another from February to June 2012
Auditions will be held within class time. Rehearsal is up to 3 hours per week with a Drama production in January and June.
