DRAMA
The primary goal of the Studio PAVAS Drama Program is to develop in students the fundamental skills and techniques of drama and acting for various settings such as film, television and stage. The classes are well suited for the beginner actor as well as for those who have had previous experience. All students will explore various areas of acting, including movement, voice and acting for camera. Students will get personal attention and learn the discipline required to develop as strong actors.
DRAMA CLASSES
AUDITION PREPARATION CLASSES
These classes will explore techniques and skills needed to prepare a successful audition. Whether it is for a school play, a commercial or an impending school entrance audition, this class will prepare students with the right tools to feel confident when walking into any audition.
ACTING FOR THE STAGE
In these classes students receive training in multiple techniques of stage acting. Disciplines covered include monologue, dialogue and group script analysis, classical text, improvisation techniques and scene study. The class curriculum follows the professional theatre world as closely as possible in an effort to offer current and up-to-date techniques.
IMPROVISATION
Studio PAVAS is very excited to offer improv classes! These classes are for anyone who has ever watched an episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway? or Saturday Night Live and wondered what it was all about. These classes will allow students with no previous experience to learn the basics of improv while growing more confident in a group setting, breaking out of their shell and being creative in a safe and encouraging environment.
PERSONAL COACHING
The personal coaching classes are offered as private sessions for aspiring students to prepare them for post secondary programs and auditions. The sessions are custom designed based on the needs of each student.
