VAL MCLEOD
PERSONAL TRAINER
STOTT PILATES CERTIFIED, CERTIFIED FITNESS CONSULTANT, ZUMBA CERTIFIED Val is a fitness specialist with progressive training and experience working as a fitness instructor, running coach and personal trainer. She is highly passionate about people, fitness and health. Val has an excellent track record for training and motivating individuals to achieve peak performance or attainment of personal goals. Val is an advanced running coach and has successfully completed 17 full marathons. She is certified in AFAA New Hampshire, in Group Power and Group Step - Body Training System, in Can-Fit Pro as a Personal Trainer Specialist and Fitness Instructor Specialist, and has her Stott Matt Pilates Certification.
Teresa MAYNE-DEVINE
Fitness Instructor
Teresa began her career as a dancer at Studio PAVAS (Mississauga) when she was 4 years old. She remembers as a small child watching Riverdance on Television and saying, “I want to learn how to do that” and quickly enrolled in Irish dance lessons. 
 
Two years later she started tap lessons to prepare her for Irish Hard Shoe. Her passion for tap lead her to studying all forms of dance: ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, modern, musical theatre, and hip hop.  Over the years she has attended workshops and conventions with some well known choreographers such as Stacey Tookey, Lil “C”, Lisa La Touche, Jason Janas, and Jason Samuels Smith. Most recently she attended the first ever Toronto International Tap Festival and attended master classes with Ted Louis Levy, Travis Knights, and Antonio Vilchez. She has also taken many classes with local professionals such as Juliana Kelly and Everett Smith.
For twelve years Teresa competed in all styles of dance.  Teresa has won many awards as well as special commendations for her tap solos. She has performed in several musicals as well as had the privilege of performing in Ballet Jorgen’s The Nutcracker.   
 
Her ballet studies include Cecchetti, R.A.D (Royal Academy of Dance), and Russian (Vaganova) where she passed her Level Seven and most recently her Level Eight American Academy of Ballet Examination.
  
In the past few years Teresa has found another passion closely related to dance: physical fitness. She has studied at the GoodLife Personal Training Institute's and competed in her first Fitness Competition April of 2016 placing 3 rd . Teresa has dedicated herself to better understanding the mechanics of proper training
habits, and the benefits of healthy eating. She is absolutely thrilled to be able to pass on this knowledge to her students.
 
Teresa has eight years of teaching experience and has choreographed routines in many styles for all ages.
She is very excited to begin her first year teaching at Studio PAVAS!
