Elizabeth's formal training in music has been in piano, flute, voice, and music theory, and she plays anything else she can get her hands on, particularly guitar, ukulele, tin whistle, and even bagpipe chanter. Since leaving high school in Georgetown, she has almost always been a member of an ensemble, band, orchestra, or choir. She thrives on small ensemble performing in classical, jazz, and rock styles. This is her second year at Studio PAVAS and she's thrilled to be joining the dynamic team of music educators and looking forward to being surrounded by different studios and so many more instruments! In addition to teaching at PAVAS, Elizabeth is a teacher with Ukulele Kids, and the General Manager and volunteer with the Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects. Elizabeth is particularly interested in the ways in which sports psychology can be applied to successful music practice and performance.
